Ally and I went to the Fairy House Tours at Prescott Park last weekend for the very first time...it was so much fun! Can't believe we have never gone before. Her favorite part was getting to make her own. They had tables and buckets filled with really awesome materials. Here is a layout I made of her fairy house using the Double Scoop Kit from Studio Calico.
My favorite part was the stage she made:
So her to think about making a stage for the fairies:) Already looking forward to going back next year!
Today I want to share my completed Week in the Life Album. I used a Studio Calico Handbook for the album. I purchased Ali Edwards 2013 templates and just cropped them down from 8.5 x 11 to 6 x 8. I also used various other handbook page protectors to add extra photos from each day that did not fit on the template collage. Here is the finished album:
I kept the rest of the album pretty simple. I added some tags, some Studio Calico printables, some wood veneer and cork hearts and cameras and some enamel dots. I used that awesome Pebbles stamp from this Studio Calico PL kit for a lot of the journaling:
I felt like I need to add some color so I added the different colors of washi tape to the page protectors with the daily sheets in them. Then I stitched along the washi. I love the color and texture that added. All in all I am pretty happy with how it turned out and I will probably do it again next year. I wish I had taken more pictures during the last few days...I definitely tapered off and ran out of steam a little towards the end. But I think it is a pretty good overview of a typical week in September for us. I can't wait to show it to my family, especially my middle son who wondering what I could possibly be taking pictures of while the 3 of them were at school:)

I was going to skip my workout this morning but decided at the last minute I should go.
Dark sky/view from my scrap room.
and then the rain came.
and then it seriously poured buckets!
Perfect weather for working on Project Life! ( I was so glad to not have golf carpool today!)
Apparantly the dogs missed Max...they were literally on top of him when he got home from school.
Ally took this one...pulling into the parking lot of her dance studio...it was pouring again!
Decided to try something new for my stamp storage...I love it!
Leaving to go pick Ally up at dance and the sun was out...today's weather was the weirdest!
Waiting for Max and friends to be done with football practice. Ally was watching (in her ballet clothes) a boy who was hurt leave practice and she said "that's why I don't play football!" LOL:)
Car full of crazy kids heading home.
Celebrating my nephew's 16th birthday!!
So I discovered from Brandon at the restaurant that he had a paper due at midnight...what??? I guess they email their papers these days and he had to have it in by midnight. Times have changed! He wanted me to read it and tell him if there were any errors or anything. Just what I wanted to do at 10PM on a friday night!
The final draft was finished and he sent it in. I was actually pretty amazed by the whole process. And I think it was the best paper he has ever written. It was about the American Dream and in it he mentioned that is dream is to join the Air Force and become a pilot! He has mentioned being a pilot a few times but I guess he is really serious. It both thrills me and scares me at the same time. So proud of him.
And this was my view as I was saying goodnight...Max in bed and Brandon on the computer.
