Family | Bella Blvd's Color Chaos Collection

Unlimited Inspiration weeks are continuing over on the Bella Blvd Blog. Today I have a layout up using the new Color Chaos collection. Here's what I came up with:

I created a large scallop pattern on the top of the layout by cutting several circles of patterned pape and cutting them in half.  I then layered them, using a couple different sizes. I added stitching for a finishing touch.

I love all the bright colors of this collection paired with lost of black accents. Everything really pops.

Teacher's Pet | Bella Blvd's New Star Student Collection

Today marks the beginning of Unlimited Inspiration Weeks over at Bella Blvd! Today I am sharing a layout I made with Bella Blvd's new Star Student collection for CHA. I just love seeing my layouts hanging in the Bella booth in Anaheim:)

I love this new Star Student Collection….it features lots of my daughter's favorite things: books, owls, glasses, etc. Its perfect for these back to school photos I took of her last year as she was getting ready to start second grade:

I paired a grid of photos on one side with a large piece of patterned paper on the other divided by some border strips.

I used some of the McIntosh Amorie Alpha chipboard letters for the title which coordinate really well with this line.

I love the coordinating chipboard pieces…so cute!

I stitched around a few of the photos for some added texture and added some of the fabulous new enamel stars. To see more inspiration from the Start Student line head on over to the BELLA BLVD BLOG.

Sweater Weather Kit from Scraptastic | Using a quilt as Inspiration

I have always wanted to be a quilter but after trying a couple of small ones I realized I am just not patient enough:) But I do use quilts as inspiration for my scrapbooking pages all the time. I recently saw this one on Pinterest and knew I wanted to create a layout like it using the Sweater Weather Kit from Scraptastic:

Here's what I came up with:

It is pretty much a quilt scrap lift:) Here are some detail shots:

I just love the warm, cozy feeling of this kit. My favorite pieces are those snowflake clips…love those! To create the triangles I cut 2"x2" squares of patterned paper and cut them in half. I added stitching for some texture. You can see more HERE on the Scraptastic blog.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I love a new year, fresh start. I have lots of things I want to do this year and a list of resolutions and goals. I contemplated not doing Project Life this year. I am still really behind on my 2014 album and have struggled with keeping up with the photos. But then I looked back on my albums and realized how important they are. I think it is these everyday moments that my kids are going to want to remember. SO I am giving it ago again this year. I am switching it up a bit though. They past couple of years I have used both the size A project life pages and the size D. I did this because I take a lot of vertical photos so I wanted 4x6 slots for both horizontal and vertical. Mut this year I am going to try to just use size A. I am hoping this will push me creatively and help my little project life rut that I was in.

I used the January This Life Noted kit from Scraptastic for my 2015 title page. Here is what I came up with:

You can see more details over on the Scraptastic Blog.

Here's hoping I can stick with:) Happy New Year!
