I stamped!

I love stamps but always struggle using them. I recently got this Jenni Bowlin stamp that I love but had to push myself to use. I combined it with some misting and made this layout for the Studio Calico sketch challenge this week:
I just love how it turned out! I am definitely going to need to do this more often!

I also made this layout the other day using some Jillibean Dutch Mustard:
This is one of my all time favorite layouts...love these pics and love this Jillibean!

KP's Sketchbook class Day 2

I actually wasn't sure I was going to use this sketch...it felt out of my comfort zone when I first saw it. But I happened to have these pics on my desk and when I saw them it all just fell into place.
And I MISTED!!! You can hardly tell but trust me it is there! Once again I used lots of Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup. I need another sheet of that flower pp...its my fave and I am getting low!

KP's Sketchbook Class Day 1

Two blog post in one day...what has come over me???  LOL, hopefully it will keep coming over me because I have a lot of pages to share.
Just one for now though. I joined Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 3 class this week and wanted to share my take on the first sketch...I am having a lot of fun with this class so far!

Here is my layout...
I just love the way it came out! I used my new "Handwritten" Slice cartridge for the title...so glad I finally broke down and bought this one...I love it! I also used the Studio Calico wood veneer hearts...love, love, love! And those little tiny Lilly Bee letter stickers...I am going to need more of those!

Love the way this turned out!

Amazing...

Its how I feel about her:
And this new Blossom Soup line from Jillibean Soup! I finally got a chance to sit down and play with my new stuff! All of their new lines are awesome as usual but this one is my fave, especially for girly pages. Hoping I get another chance to play this afternoon:)

Need to catch up...

phew...these past few weeks just got away from me.  I'm still keeping up with POTD but I need to get them all printed and put into my Project Life album. Instead of sharing those photos right now I think I will share my latest layout:

I have been ordering a bunch of new stuff from A Million Little Things...so excited to play with my new goodies. This is new MME and Pebbles, Sassafrass and American Crafts. I am in love with this My Minds Eye pattern paper. We actually just took our second trip to the American Girl Store over February vacation so I figured I should get scrapping this first visit:)

Since I am talking about the American Girl Store I'll share a picture from when we went a couple weeks ago. She brought Julie with her and this is right after she got Julie's hair done at the salon:
So much fun!

A few more layouts

Still working on that pile of photos on my desk...

This one is my fave I think:

I think I went a little heavy on the mist on this one...need to keep practicing this technique:

And this one...
I think I only have a couple more layouts to make before I am done with that pile of photos...that feels good! Those photos have been there for several months! Glad to get them in my albums!

44/365

In the glow of the Xbox...Maxwell gaming. He had been gone for the afternoon at a friend's birthday party. They had gone to a Monarchs game and he had a great time...he didn't have much of a voice when he got home...a sign of a good time:)

43/365

Came across this sight and ran for the camera...such a rare moment, the two of them like this. Reminds me of the days when they used to play their DS's side by side on the couch. Love this:)

42/365

Max came home from school today and got right to work on his Valentine's for his class.

41/365

These crazy girls...had a blast CLEANING on their playdate today! They vacuumed and washed windows. Nejat told me that it was the best day of her life...so cute! Here they are pretending the windex and paper towels are their babies...they are crazy!

40/365

Early morning, before school gaming. He has started playing his DS more lately...reminds me of the old days:)

Scrappy share!

Thought I would share some recent layouts today...I have been on a role lately! I have printed quite a feww smaller photos over the past few months and i am accumulating quite a little pile of them on my desk. I have given myself a challenge to finish scrapping all of those before I print anymore! Here they go...

This picture was not in my pile but I ran across it recently looking through some older pictures and had to scrap it...look how cute and little he was:)

Feels good to make a dent in that pile...but I still have quite a few more pics left!

39/365

Max doing his homework after basketball practice. He got a really great report card last week. So proud of him!

38/365

Basketball again! This time Brandon's game at CMS.

37/365

Max had a sleepover with Sean, Matt and Cam so we invited Josh over for a couple hours in the morning to play...they had a great time playing trains and tinker toys and didn't bother their brothers much at all:)

36/365

We finally had a chance to go play in all this snow today....there is so much! Ally loves to play in it...Rosie wishes she could climb up there:)

35/365

Today was the 100th day of school for Ally! She had to bring in 100 of something...she chose marshmellows! We used toothpicks to make them into 100.

34/365

Ally asked me to play house with her this morning...I have never heard her use this term before! I used to play house all the time when I was a little girl and had fun playing with her. She doesn't play with babies much these days so this was nice!

33/365

Ally playing with her American Girl dolls...she loves to play doctor with them.

32/365

Ally brought home some blank journal pages from school and wanted to write. I gave her my date stamper from my Project Life kit to put the date on the page like her teachers do...she thought this was fantastic. In fact, there was more stamping than writing:)

31/365

Brandon had a home game tonight against the other CMS 7th grade team. He played great, especially his defense...guarding the best kid on the other team.

30/365

Max's AAU travel team cam in runner up in this weekend's tournament. This team plays with all their heart, with everything they have.  They lost by 4.  So proud of them!

29/365

Ally wrote us this little note this morning...Love it:)

28/365

Ally bought this new toy with some of her birthday money...and this is very typical of her right now doing a headstand in the background...she is always doing handstands, headstands and cartwheels!

27/365

We had a two hour delay today which gave us time for a little dance party in Ally's room this morning. I found some old kids music cd's like Disney and Kids Bop from when the boys' were little and she is loving them.

26/365

We've discovered this new trick of Rosie's...Ally puts her toy on her head and Rosie can jump all the way up and get it! This did this for quite a while tonight.

25/365

A rare picture of Ally coloring in a coloring book...she loves to draw and paint but says she doesn't like coloring. She got this color wonder coloring book for her birthday and things were magically appearing...she thought that was very cool!

23/365

Max played with some fellow Journeyman at halftime of the UNH basketball game today. We all dressed in Journeyman gear and had a fantastic time. Max played great and got a trophy for scoring the most points. He was so thrilled!

22/365

Cupcakes for Ally's friend birthday party today. She's having a Barbie theme so i made cupcake toppers to match. I printed off the Barbie head that I found online and then put my cirlce punches to work. I think they came out pretty cute:)
And I finally invested in one of these cupcake stands:
Once out of the box I was not that impressed with it...and of course I found a much cuter one today at Home Goods for the same price:( Oh well, I will make this one work.

21/365

Hot chocolate, marshmellows and toothpicks...this entertained these two for a loooong time on yet another SNOW DAY!! Two snow days this week...with the holiday and delayed opening on Weds there was only 1 1/2 days of school this week.

20/365

One of my favorite things about her new room is the peace sign string lights. I wish I could leave them on all night for her but they make me nervous so i unplug them as soon as she falls asleep. I also learned this night that she prefers to sleep with the shade up...not a problem now since its winter and doesn't get light until 7am...but that could be a problem in the summer.

19/365

Brandon doing his homework in front of the tv...I don't like him to do this but I don't complain since he gets really good grades. Whatever works for him!

18/365

Another snow day! This was a very productive day for me...before 9am I had completely rearranged Ally's bedroom. That bed used to be a loft. Her room is super small so the idea was a loft bed would give her more space to play underneath. But in reality...she never played underneath. This way actually makes her room seem so much bigger! I need need to do a little purging soon, especially since she just got a lot of new toys for her birthday.

17/365

The last day of Max's Hudson basketball tournament...they made it to the semi finals. They played great against some tough teams.

16/365

She loves to sleep on the floor in the boy's room but I only let her on "special" nights...I figured her birthday was one of those nights:) Her she is still sleeping with her new blanket that her cousin Holly made her and Julie of course!

15/365

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIANA!!! My baby girl turned 5 today...a whole hand! I cannot even believe!
She had a great day despite that fact that she had to go to 2 of Max's basketball games an hour away...I surprised her and her friend with a trip to Build a Bear in between games:

I also surprised them with McDonalds where they happened to be having a grand opening celebration with Ronald McDonald himself! They were pretty excited. We ended the day with family over to celebrate. She got her beloved Julie American Girl Doll:
What a great day!
