I left her alone with the watercolors yesterday...all was quiet...too quiet. Walked into the room to find this:

At Least The Sun's Out
It is frigidly cold here...I'm really missing the outdoors, grass, fresh air. Feeling couped. But...at least the sun is shining! Makes a big difference. And Ally has discovered the fabulous combination of the sun streaming in and anything sparkly:

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
Its been an eventful year...from knocking out her front tooth on the coffee table to moving to a big girl bed and potty training. To say she likes High School Musical is an understatement...she is obsessed. She refers to it as "Fabulous" ("I want to watch Fabulous") and knows all of the songs. She loves to sing and dance. Right now she sings Old MacDonald all the time. She loves baby dolls and pretending...she has a great imagination. She has a temper and has perfected her whine...time outs have been a daily occurence. I heard someone recently describe their child by saying "when given a choice between A and B she almost always chooses C" That is so Ally.
There is so much more I could say about her. But I'll just leave it with we just love her more than words can say. She has brought so much.. joy to our lives in the past three years...joy that we never knew was missing but can not imagine being without now.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

Sledding
I have decided after living in NH for 35 years that this year I would embrace winter. I bought some snow pants, good hats and mittens and have been playing outside. It snowed (again) this weekend so I took this kids sledding for a bit yesterday afternoon. I had grand plans of sledding with Ally andsitting at the bottom of the hill and getting some shots of them coming down. But under the snow was a layer of ice...I went down once and it took about 20 minutes to climb back up the hill because I kept slipping. So after that I parked myself at the top and tried to get a couple of pictures before Ally decided she'd had enough (she hasn't yet decided to fully embrace winter...but she's close!)
